Understanding your results

What does YES / NO / MARGINAL mean?

After you calculate a job, CoachQuote gives you an instant verdict based on whether the quoted price covers all your costs and hits your target margin. It's not a guess — it's your actual numbers.

YES ✓
The job covers all costs and meets your target margin. Accept with confidence.
MARGINAL ≈
The job covers costs but falls short of your margin target. Consider the counter-offer price or accept if the relationship justifies it.
NO ✗
The job does not cover costs at the quoted price. Use the counter-offer figure to renegotiate, or decline.

The counter-offer price

When a job comes back NO or MARGINAL, CoachQuote shows you a counter-offer price — the minimum price that covers all your costs and hits your margin. Use this number when negotiating with the client.

The counter-offer is calculated from your actual cost stack — not a rule-of-thumb markup. If the client can't meet it, the job genuinely doesn't make commercial sense at your current cost base.
